About Us
Katoomba Veterinary Hospital is a full service companion animal hospital which has been providing quality veterinary care to the upper Blue Mountains communities including Leura, Katoomba and Medlow bath since 1977. Currently the clinic is owned and run by locals Nina and Rhys Sweaney, They are supported by a well trained staff made up of experienced veterinarians and nurses, many of whom are long term employees of the practice. Our healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
Facilities
We have been located at 59 Waratah street for over 40years. Our premises includes 2 consultation rooms, a fully equipped pathology and in-house pharmacy along with dedicated surgery, dental and imaging rooms. Our newly renovated hospital allows us to house the full range of companion animals including dogs, cats, birds and reptiles.

Our service are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets as well as early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages. We aim to offer comprehensive medical and surgical care to all companion animals including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and other unusual pets
The Vet Van
The Vet Van at BMAH offers pre-booked home visit veterinary consultations to pet owners of the Blue Mountains and Lithgow areas.
Leura Cat Cottage
Located at Blue Mountains Animal Health in Leura. The Leura Cat Cottage offers boutique home-style cat boarding facilities under the supervision of qualified Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses.
